D230 : DinkyVauxhall Cresta 164

In very poor condition, overpainted and huge paint loss, rusty chassis, windscreen pillar missing, bent roof. Chassis removed, paint stripped and note the repair to the windscreen pillar. Groves were cut where the pillar was attached and a small wire (telephone wire) was shaped and held in place with metal based epoxy resin. The wire is there to reinforce the repair and gives something to hang the epoxy resin on. Several coats are applied and left to dry overnight before filing into shape. Painted and ready for display together with two others purchased as part of a lot.
